Our favorite time of the year in New York City is right around the corner. While some people might gravitate toward the buzzy excitement of the New York City Marathon in November or the snowflake-studded beauty of Manhattan at Christmastime, we have a special appreciation for late August into early September. Why? The US Open tennis tournament, of course.
As summer gives way to fall, a deluge of A-listers and world-class athletes descends on the borough of Queens. Specifically, these big names are headed to Arthur Ashe Stadium in the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The US Open is a showcase of jaw-dropping tennis, a tournament where names are made, where some dreams are crushed as others reach new heights. This is the place where some of the greatest moments in tennis history occurred.
At Flushing Meadows, Steffi Graff solidified her history-making Grand Slam win, taking home trophies from all four Grand Slam tournaments in one calendar year (1988). US Open enthusiasts saw John

Spain and Argentina will face off at the FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, July 19. Crushing losses for England and France paved the way for this iconic matchup. All eyes will be on the pitch where soccer legend Lionel Messi faces off against Spain’s teen sensation, Lamine Yamal. (In an odd twist of fate, the two have never played each other on the field. However, Messi gave a baby Yamal a bath for a charity calendar 19 years ago. The photographs are all over the internet.)

Discover luxury on your very own wrist when you wear one of these decadent accessories to support your team. Whether you are attending the final match at MetLife stadium, throwing a party
From June 3 through June 14, Hollywood stars made their presence known in New York City for the Tribeca Film Festival. This glamorous event features screenings of feature films as well as numerous talks, panels, games, art, and other immersive programming. And of course, celebrity style from outfits to accessories does not disappoint.
The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff. The trio wanted to help revitalize the buoyancy and economic spirit of the Tribeca neighborhood after the fall of the twin towers on September 11, 2001. This year, the festival celebrated its 25th occurrence, emphasizing the ongoing strength and resilience of New Yorkers. Between this glitzy festival and the New York Knicks’ NBA Championship win, it was a stellar weekend for The Empire State.
Cotton Fever took home the coveted top prize for narrative film at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Other winners included Labrador – Autopsy of Silence in the international
For those who love soccer, an exciting event is on the horizon. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is kicking off on June 11 and is hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This year marks the 23rd edition of the tournament, which will include 48 teams. Sixteen cities across North America will be jointly hosting the event, which will culminate in the championship game on July 19. The 48-team format is a new addition to the event, up from 32 teams in 2025.
The FIFA World Cup is more than just a sporting match: It is a celebration of athleticism, culture, and diversity from across the globe. Occurring only every four years, this tournament is a truly special event in the world of soccer. Defending champion Argentina is expected to be one to watch; the team took home their third World Cup trophy at the 2022 tournament in Qatar. There are also four new countries making their World Cup debuts this year: Uzbekistan, Curacao, Cape Verde, and Jordan.
Every May, celebrities and A-listers from across the globe travel to Cannes, France. This resort town on the French Riviera may be quiet and peaceful during the other eleven months of the year, but as spring flowers bloom, an international film festival brings a certain buzz to the region. With its Mediterranean location, exceptional culinary scene, and proximity to Nice, Cannes is always one of the most popular towns on the Riviera. Its star-studded atmosphere during the film festival is simply an extra perk.
This year, the Cannes Film Festival took place from May 12 to 23 and showcased dozens of films in a wide range of categories. Standouts include A24’s Club Kid as well as The Devils in the Classics category. Paper Tiger, a James Gray film starring Miles Teller, Adam Driver, and Scarlett Johansson also made waves. How could it not, with such a cast?
While most eyes were fixed on the screen over the past few weeks in Cannes, we had another focal point in mind: fashion. Like most A-list
Roland Garros, also known as the French Open, is one of tennis’s four Grand Slam titles. Among the Australian Open, the US Open, and Wimbledon, Roland Garros is the only major competition that takes place on clay courts, making it a distinctive and memorable showdown between the most impressive athletes in the sport. The red clay courts are known for their emphasis on technical skill, as they slow down the ball and force players to turn their attention to finesse rather than brute force. Only the best will prevail.
This year, Roland Garros begins on May 18 and culminates on June 7 in Paris’s 16th arrondissement, on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. In the men’s field, Italian Jannik Sinner and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz are expected to dominate, continuing long streaks of impressive play on the clay courts. Sinner is attempting to close out his Career Grand Slam: he has won all three other Grand Slam titles, and Roland Garros is the only trophy missing from his list. Other names to look
