Avi & Co. cut the ribbon in front of their second paradise-infused boutique on May 4th, 2023. A family-owned, highly trusted luxury watch retailer, Avi & Co. sells hard-to-find timepieces such as Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Rolex. The New York-based company also creates original jewelry.
The Crown Chain
Avi and his team designed the extraordinary necklace in just five weeks. Named The Crown Chain, it was a showstopper at Avi & Co.'s Miami Grand Opening. Assembled with an assortment of round, asher, cushion, princess, pear, and emerald cuts, the diamonds weigh 210 carats.
The original concept consisted of 32 large stones surrounded by approximately 6,200 round diamonds placed in flower settings. Donned by Avi himself, these certified GIA diamonds walked the Design District’s red carpet. Each stone shined in front of the paparazzi.
From the imagination of Avi Hiaeve, the crown represented the grand opening he always dreamed of. Avi was ready to take over Miami and the Jewelry Industry. He wanted a special place where people could see Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, and our new Avi & Co. watches while shopping.
The King of Miami felt like royalty as he matched the magnitude of his event, which brought in over 1,000 guests. Even with the number of celebrities trailing 40th Street, The Crown Chain deserved its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“The most challenging part about creating the necklace,” Avi said, “was the time. I was working on it 24/7 for five weeks straight. But we made it through, and it came out beautiful."
Avi's Grand Attire
As though he was hosting his own Met Gala, Avi strolled the red carpet in Dior Alligator sneakers, retailed at $5,000. To feel more custom, he added a 10K diamond to each of the laces. They valued each diamond at $400,000.
He wore an Arta suit, which is a company owned by a friend of his. To finish his outfit, he donned a pair of Chrome Hearts sunglasses.
“I wanted to feel like a king,” Avi said with a soaring grin. “I had a crown chain. I had my Avi and Co. watch. The diamonds on the shoes were just a little extra. I wanted to go all out. This was my night. You can’t wear these things on a daily basis.”
And around his wrist was, of course, a Limited Edition timepiece from his Iced Collection.
Avi & Co. drew inspiration from the legacy of a man who built his home from the ground up. Our in-house designer created the exclusive timepiece in 2021. The pattern on the bracelet mimics the house’s deck, and the dial caricatures the brick of the driveway. It's a legacy that future generations can carry on.
Miami Grand Opening
Miami is most known for its immaculate beaches, bustling nightlife, and art deco architecture. Additionally, The Magic City is also the epitome of a luxurious and exclusive lifestyle.
The inspiration behind the showroom’s design was simple: Avi had the right team. A designer came up with the idea, and Avi trusted his imagination 100%. The green inside drew inspiration from a jungle and forest. Quite distinctive and luxurious for a high-end watch and jewelry store, wouldn’t you agree?
They closed 40th Street for the exclusive event. Invitees watched as Avi & Co. unveiled their first brand timepiece, The Iced Collection from Watches by Avi & Co., before releasing it to the public. Guests also had the opportunity to try on and purchase over twenty-million dollars’ worth of curated rare timepieces.
According to Avi, the Miami Grand Opening went above and beyond what he hoped for. “I expected it to be good, but this was something else. This was above my expectations."
Avi went on to say that everything ran smoothly. "There were a lot of good vibes. It was like my birthday. Everyone was calling me and congratulating me from all over the world.
"We really set a new record for grand openings. I don’t think anyone ever saw that. I’ve never even seen that.”
