Luxury Watches Spotted at the 2026 Oscars

The 2026 Academy Awards ceremony dominated broadcast television last night with a stunning and emotional show hosted by Conan O’Brien himself. The watch that captured everyone’s attention last night? Kieran Culkin’s Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph. This rose gold timepiece clocks in at 45 mm, a solid watch with a substantial presence on the wrist. However, paired with Culkin’s black and brown suit and a more formal leather strap, this Hublot was perfectly aligned with the formality of the event. Culkin presented the award for Best Supporting Actor, which he took home at the 2025 Oscars for his role in A Real Pain. This year, he passed on the trophy to Sean Penn for his performance in One Battle After Another, which won an impressive six awards throughout the night.

Culkin’s choice of a Hublot watch, while bold, was not exactly unique: The brand may have been the dominant force on the red carpet this year (excluding Rolex, of course, whose sponsorship of the event makes it a classic pick). Ryan Coogler, the director of the Southern Gothic vampire thriller Sinners, wore what was undoubtedly one of the most unique watches at this year’s Academy Awards. His Cartier Tank a Guichets (which translates literally to “ticket window”) is part of a limited run of just 200 pieces from the French jewelry brand and represents a new take on an old classic, kind of like Sinners itself. The maroon leather strap and platinum case paired with a white dial and red Arabic numeral markers combine to create a seamless, high-fashion look that cannot be beat. Coogler took to the stage on a number of occasions, and Sinners brought home four awards. Kevin O’Leary, also known as “Mr. Wonderful,” is a well-known investor on ABC’s Shark Tank and also featured in the film Marty Supreme alongside Timothee Chalamet. His red carpet look for the Academy Awards encompassed all of the glitz and glamour that we expected. O’Leary wore not one but two luxury watches with his embroidered jacket: a burgundy openworked Cartier Crash watch and an uber-rare “off-catalogue” Rolex Daytona. Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the stars of One Battle After Another, rocked a mustache and a neat Rolex 1908 to the 98th Academy Awards.
