If you are hoping to offload one of your timepieces, we may be able to purchase that watch from you. When we are purchasing timepieces, we prioritize tier-one brands such as Richard Mille, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe. We will also purchase timepieces from Hublot, Breitling, Cartier, F.P. Journe, OMEGA, Panerai, and others. If you are looking to sell a watch but do not see its brand listed, there is no harm in asking.

So, how does the process of selling a watch to us work? We strive to make the entire transaction as seamless and easy as possible. With our decades of experience in the watch world, we can conduct fast and accurate appraisals to determine the market value of your timepiece. We will look at factors like brand desirability, condition, model and reference number, and completeness of the set (the original box and papers, manual, hang tags, and other original components can increase the value of a timepiece significantly).

Getting your watch appraised is not a commitment to sell with us. Once we have appraised your watch to determine its market value, we will make you an offer to purchase it. Due to our in-house appraisal process and horological experience, we can offer quicker turnaround times and competitive offers that you may not find elsewhere.

If you are looking to sell your watch in order to buy another one, our trade-in system may be the perfect opportunity for you. You can conduct a watch trade with us either online or in person at one of our three boutiques (we are located in Manhattan, Miami, and Aspen). If you choose the online route, the process begins with a short online form that gives us an overview of the information needed, including some photos of the watch and information about its condition. This helps us determine the watch’s value so that we can apply it appropriately to the trade-in.

Sometimes, you have your eye on a watch that might seem out of budget. But when you trade in a timepiece you already own toward that purchase, all of a sudden it might just get a lot more achievable. Our experienced associates can help you with your personalized watch trade in-store, online, or over the phone. No matter where you are in your collecting journey, we are here to help.

Consignment is an alternative to selling your watch directly to us. Instead, we offer a white-glove service to help you find the right buyer: someone who truly values the timepiece you are selling and is willing to pay a premium price. In exchange, we take home a percentage of the sales price, agreed upon in advance.

Why choose consignment over selling directly to Avi & Co.? Time and earnings are both considerations. When you consign your watch, it may take longer for us to sell it. This is because we are actively marketing the watch and mining our robust client list to find the buyer that fits just right. When you sell to us directly, we will make you an offer within 48 hours.

There are, however, some important benefits to consignment. For one, you will often make more money on the sale of your watch. When we purchase your watch directly, we have to keep in mind the time and effort it will take for us to advertise it and find a buyer. But when you consign your watch with us, those factors are included in the sale price. As such, there is the potential to bring home more earnings with consignment versus a traditional sale.
