Aspen might have a reputation as a wintertime destination – after all, skiing and snowboarding aren’t exactly the kinds of activities you do when it’s warm outside. But while winter is the busiest season in this snowy paradise, Aspen remains a hot destination almost year-round, offering anyone who appreciates truly luxurious living the chance to revel in an upscale vacation spot equipped with designer shopping, great eats, and plenty of natural beauty.

In other words, don’t write off Aspen in the springtime so quickly! Here are some of the area’s favorite springtime activities – plus the perfect luxury watch to show off at each event.

Revel at the Bud Light Spring Jam

It’s not truly springtime in Aspen until the Bud Light Spring Jam comes to town. This week-long festival at the end of March celebrated its 24th year running as of 2025, and with its surging popularity, we’re sure to see many more Bud Light Spring Jams to come. The celebration is full of live music acts, skiing and snowboarding competitions, and raucous parties in the downtown area. In other words, it’s a full pint of fun!

What to wear? Attire at the Bud Light Spring Jam tends towards more casual and sporty – but that doesn’t mean you should shy away from designer brands. In fact, it’s the perfect occasion to show off “quiet luxury” as you highlight prestigious pieces that will fly under the radar to anyone without an eye for the finer things in life. Our pick? Pair an understated ski outfit with an eye-catching Richard Mille watch to embody the perfect combo of athletic and chic.

Enjoy Aspen Film’s Shortsfest

At the end of March and into early April, Aspen Film presents its Oscar-qualifying Shortsfest, where short films are viewed and celebrated in style. This iconic event showcases emerging filmmakers from across the globe. It takes place at the Wheeler Opera House and offers dynamic programming featuring five to eight shorts per viewing at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. during the days of the festival. As with most Aspen events, it’s imperative to dress the part from your outfit to your accessories… luxury watches included, of course.

Show off Oscar-worthy watches by drawing inspiration from the timepieces stars showed off on the red carpet this year at entertainment’s biggest event. Whether you loved Jeremy Strong’s Richard Mille watch, Sebastian Stan’s Cartier Santos, or Coco Gauff’s Rolex Datejust, there are plenty of luxe timepieces to choose from. But one thing that really stood out to us on the red carpet this year? The staggering number of OMEGA watches turning heads in menswear. Do yourself a favor and highlight top trends in film and fashion with one of these versatile pieces.

Say Farewell to Ski Season

It’s no secret that Aspen is a winter sports paradise – and the site of the legendary Winter X Games – but the ski season can’t last all year. One of the hottest (lift) tickets in Aspen is to the closing days at the four major mountains: Buttermilk, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Aspen Mountain. The Aspen Highlands closing party in particular is known for its high-energy fun and all-day revelry, with costumes encouraged. Skiing at the close of the season is a unique experience, as you’re sure to enjoy warmer weather. Plus, you’ll probably see the city’s much-loved ski bums flying past wearing Hawaiin shirts rather than traditional snowsuits to celebrate the changing of the seasons.

If you’re trying to fit one last ski weekend into the year, make sure to hit the slopes before April 13 at Aspen Highlands and before April 20 for Aspen Mountain and Snowmass. And of course, make sure to dress the part! Show off a snazzy, waterproof watch like this durable and sporty Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore. The octagonal bezel and exposed screws add to the ruggedness of this stainless steel watch, making it the perfect choice for any adventurer.

Soak Up a Concert at Belly Up

Aspen’s premier indoor music venue, Belly Up is a small club with a big reputation. The venue routinely brings big-name performers to Aspen, and has hosted the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges, and many others. This spring, you’ll want to catch acts like Matt Nathanson, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Goldfish, Ingrid Andress, and many others. You’ll rarely catch a bad show here, and the enthusiastic crowd and vibrant atmosphere only add to the fun.

Belly Up is a great place to show off a watch that pays homage to the world of music. Yes, the lights are low in the club, but you can still take the opportunity to dress in a way that makes you feel confident. It all begins with accessories, of course. Consider a yellow-gold Rolex Day Date like the one that jazz legend Miles Davis famously favored – or opt for a more modern option like John Mayer’s green dial Rolex Cosmograph Daytona.

Hike to Maroon Bells

In the springtime months, Aspen transforms from a winter wonderland into a lush, green paradise with plenty of outdoor activities for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. Once the snow is melted, Aspen offers great hiking, mountain biking, and fishing – fly fishing is especially popular amongst the Coloradoans in this area. One of the best hiking spots in the area is Maroon Bells, which is located just 10 miles west of Aspen or 16 miles from Snowmass.

Look familiar? You’ve probably seen them before. These two twin peaks encompass one of the most photographed sites in America. Hiking up to Maroon Bells will offer you unparalleled views of these towering 14,000-foot peaks (they are among the Rocky Mountains’ so-called “fourteeners,” which are a bucket list climb for many). When you visit this gorgeous outdoorsy site, make sure to wear your watch to keep track of the time! For a light hike that will still give you access to plenty of great photo spots, opt for a comfortable and durable timepiece like the Patek Philippe Aquanaut, shown here with a versatile “tropical” rubber strap:

Explore Aspen’s Vibrant Restaurant Scene

In a prestigious spot like Aspen, it should come as no surprise that there are plenty of sumptuous eateries and five-star restaurants where you can dine on some of the most impressive meals west of the Mississippi. For a Michelin-starred meal, head over to Bosq, where you can explore a culinary style dubbed “Aspen fusion” in an intimate, woody environment where you’ll feel transported to another world entirely. On the other end of the spectrum, grab a casual breakfast at Aspen staple Hickory House. For a true European chalet atmosphere, try out French Alpine Bistro.

Wherever you dine, you’re sure to see a wide swath of individuals dressed to the nines in their Aspen best. Make sure you fit right in with a luxury watch that will surely have people asking, “Where did you find that?” We love the craftsmanship and prestige of a Cartier watch for a fancy dinner out on the town. Whether you opt for the slim and delicate Cartier Panthere or a more substantial Cartier Santos, you’ll never go wrong with these French timepieces.
