The brand dubbed “The Crown” has become a dominant force at Watches and Wonders in recent years, and 2026 was no exception. Rolex celebrated 100 years of their hallowed Oyster Perpetual line with new releases in a wide range of sizes: 41 mm, 36 mm, 34 mm, and 28 mm. The 36 mm watch showcases a fun new dial motif, which spells out the word Rolex in a geometric, colorful theme. But the 41 mm Oyster Perpetual release is perhaps our favorite, a true tribute to the brand’s history and the waterproof watch that has defined a generation.

This gorgeous take on the classic Oyster Perpetual line showcases a combination of stainless steel and 18K yellow gold, a slate dial, and a robust 41 mm silhouette that is versatile yet memorable. The two-tone aesthetic is the perfect complement to a modern watch collection, and the robust oyster bracelet is an iconic testament to the line’s rich history.

More to Note: In addition to its tribute to the Oyster Perpetual line, Rolex released some other exquisite pieces this year. Most notable were the stunning reimaginings of the Yacht-Master II line, a pair of stunning green Datejust and Day-Date dials, and a sleek Daytona rife with modern appeal. For those seeking an extra dose of glamour, do not miss the diamond-set Oyster Perpetual additions that up the ante on luxury in this understanded, refined collection.

As 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Patek Philippe’s renowned Nautilus line, the watch community at large had high expectations for the Swiss manufacturer this year. As ever, Patek Philippe did not disappoint. The brand released three limited edition Nautilus watches to celebrate this jubilee anniversary: two 41 mm white gold watches and a platinum watch. They are stunning, to say the least, emphasizing the impressive simplicity behind a watch that has remained a cultural icon for half a century.

But of course, Patek Philippe did not limit itself to the Nautilus line. Perhaps its most impressive releases at Watches and Wonders this year actually looked outside of its sportier collections. The brand debuted a few new Grand Complications timepieces, including the stunning Celestial Sunrise and Sunset watch, a new perpetual calendar release in a few different colorways, updated Calatrava timepieces, and new takes on the World Time and Annual Calendar watches. Critics also loved the brand’s Reference 5322G-010 24-Hour Alarm and the skeletonized version of the Patek Philippe Cubitus, one of the brand’s newer lines.

More to Note: Patek Philippe’s new timepieces certainly turned heads, ranging from sporty innovations to handcrafted marvels. One piece in the latter category has made countless headlines this week: the Fox and Crow watch. A masterful application of haute horlogerie principles, this watch exudes craftsmanship and refinement in every way. A poetic retelling of a Jean de La Fontaine fable, “The Fox and the Crow” watch embodies the talent and creativity behind Patek Philippe from 1839 to today.

The 2026 Watches and Wonders event marked an exciting moment for the watch world: Audemars Piguet’s first time in attendance. The longtime holdout finally acquiesced to the demands of the moment, appearing in style at Watches and Wonders with an unexpected announcement. Virtually everyone was anticipating a new Audemars Piguet line or a big-ticket release. But what Audemars Piguet did deliver was more understated, more refined, and perhaps more incredible than that.

The Swiss brand took the opportunity to debut its Atelier des Établisseurs, a whole new branch of the business focused on perpetuating the handcraftsmanship of horological artisans lest it be lost in this new era of modernity and automation. The Atelier des Établisseurs does not just look to the past, says Audemars Piguet’s heritage and museum director Sebastian Vivas. It also gazes into the future, emphasizing the importance of special tooling techniques and traditions that are no longer taught. The only way to preserve these tactics is to offer work for the artisans who practice them, Vivas argues. That is exactly what Audemars Piguet aims to do with its Atelier des Établisseurs arm.

With titanium cases and a high level of desirability, it certainly will not be easy to get your hands on one of these exquisite creations.

Not to be overlooked, the French watch and jewelry brand has brought back a classic for this year’s Watches and Wonders. Whether you call the reintroduction of the Cartier Roadster a revival or a new chapter, one thing is for sure: this striking, masculine watch is a must-have in any collector’s watch box. The automotive curves and head-turning design are Cartier through and through, reminding audiences that the brand’s range has not been diminished by the popularity of its feminine timepieces: Cartier LOVE bracelets, Baignoire watches, and Taylor Swift’s famous Cartier Demoiselle, worn for her engagement. Cartier really can do it all, the resurgence of the Roadster (available in three colorways) solidifies that fact.
