Richard Mille partnered with the Romain Grosjean to create a timepiece that honored the endurance of Formula one competitions and the glorious design of the Lotus F1 team. The tonneau case is 50 mm x 44.5 mm and is made with a light, ultra-strong NTPT carbon. The NTPT carbon is made of 600 layers of carbon that are glued together with resin, which gives the bezel a wood brain finish. The bezel that is fitted with push pieces is corrosion proof, rigid and extremely resistant to impact. It runs on the RMAC1 Calibre which has automatic winding movement and a 50-hour limit power reserve. The Calibre offers hours, minutes, seconds, flyback chronograph, 60-minute countdown timer, 12-hour totalizer, oversize date and month. It comes with a rubber bracelet that has titanium fold over clasp. It has a water resistance of 50 meters (164 feet).
