Richard Mille Bubba Watson watch on golf green with club and ball

It’s no surprise that the worlds of luxury watches and professional golf tend to intersect. After all, golf requires patience, precision, and even a bit of artistry… just like the majestic timepieces we offer at Avi & Co. Going beyond the art of hitting the perfect putt, many pro golfers are also well-versed in the art of style. On and off the course, we frequently spot golfing champs rocking opulent accessories, designer attire, and expensive watches.

In honor of National Golf Month and the upcoming PGA Championship, let’s take a look at some of our favorite watches that are perfect for heading out onto the course. Whether you’re trying to score below par or simply relaxing with a drink back at the clubhouse, these timepieces are better than a hole in one!

Watches Loved by Pro Golfers

While golfers are often bound by strict dress codes while on the course, they’ve turned to wristwear as a way to express themselves and show off their personal style. As such, you probably won’t be shocked to hear that many luxury watch brands have counted pro golfers among their ambassadors – and there is no brand that has amassed as many big names in golf as Rolex.

If you’re a fan of these Swiss luxury watches, you’re in good company. Rolex ambassadors in the world of golf include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, and Hideki Matsuyama. Rolex has also brought a variety of female golfers into the fold, including Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, and Anna Nordquist, as reported by Prestige magazine.

While Rolex certainly has an impressive list of ambassadors, they’re not the only upscale watch brand making their mark on the fairways. Audemars Piguet watches have also proven popular, and have been spotted on the wrists of big names like Viktor Hovland, Bud Cauley, Tyrell Hatton, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, and Vijay Singh.

Richard Mille has a particularly notable partnership with Bubba Watson, who even collaborated on designing a watch that is named for him. In addition to the Bubba Watson collaboration, Richard Mille has other golf ambassadors, including Nelly Korda, Christie Kerr, and Diana Luna, among others. With Rory McIlroy taking home the title at the recent Masters 2025 Tournament, we would also be remiss to leave OMEGA off the list.

Let’s take a close look at the prestigious watches that golf’s greats are wearing on the fairways (and off of them, too)...

Scottie Scheffler: Rolex Submariner “Hulk” Edition

At his PGA Masters Tournament win in 2024, Scottie Scheffler had a fitting accessory: an emerald green Rolex Submariner that perfectly complemented the deep green Masters jacket. This watch has been nicknamed the “Hulk” for its striking color combination with a totally greened-out bezel and dial. The Submariner hails from one of Rolex’s acclaimed professional lines, which are perfectly equipped to handle demanding sports and withstand the elements. The 40 mm dial makes it a versatile and wearable timepiece that can accompany you from the greens to a formal dinner with ease.

Bubba Watson: Richard Mille RM 38-01 Tourbillon “Bubba Watson”

American golfer Bubba Watson has been a part of Richard Mille’s impressive roster of friends and partners for years now, and the Swiss watchmaker has created several watches in his honor. Those watches include the RM 038 Tourbillon, the RM 38-01 G-Sensor Tourbillon, the RM 055, and the RM 38-02 Tourbillon. Watson is known for his vibrant style and bold personality (he has a custom hot pink driver and frequently incorporates pops of color into his outfits), and the artistry and innovation behind these watches perfectly suit his incredible accomplishments.

John Rahm: Rolex GMT-Master II, Meteorite Dial

Famous golfer John Rahm was the first Spaniard to bring home the U.S. Open title in the sport, and has held the number one spot in the world golf rankings for record amounts of time. He is often spotted wearing upscale Rolex watches during his tournaments, but there are a few that have stood out from the rest. He has frequently been photographed wearing a Rolex Sky-Dweller with a deep blue dial – but he has commented that his favorite watch is an unusual Rolex GMT-Master II with an eye-catching meteorite dial.

This unique Rolex is crafted from 18K white gold, giving it an upscale nature that sets it apart from your average GMT-Master II watch, many of which are made from stainless steel. But the use of this precious metal is far from the first thing that will catch your attention. The meteorite dial adds an ethereal elegance to this piece, and it is sure to be an asset to any watch collection, whether or not you’re a golf fanatic or a John Rahm fan!

Hailing from Northern Ireland, Rory McIlroy has had a long golf career full of countless accolades. He has been a partner of Swiss luxury brand OMEGA for years, and has been photographed in a variety of different models, including the Deville, Seamaster, and Speedmaster. The OMEGA Speedmaster 50th Anniversary Snoopy was the watch he opted for when he hoisted the trophy in his green Masters jacket at the 2025 tournament – and he has even created a special edition Speedmaster with the brand!

Golfing GOAT Tiger Woods is well-known for his love of the finer things in life. He has an incredible breadth of watches in his collection, but his favorite is known to be a Rolex Day-Date 40 exactly like the one pictured above: made from 18K rose gold and complete with an olive green dial. This upscale watch has become a particularly desirable model on the secondary market, due in part to Tiger Woods’ love for the watch but perhaps more notably due to its connection to many U.S. presidents.

Viktor Hovland: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Ceramic

When Viktor Hovland hoisted the FedEx Cup trophy in 2023, his win wasn’t the only thing worth celebrating. On his wrist, he sported the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak made from white ceramic – and he reportedly liked the watch so much that he now owns it in multiple colors, adding a black ceramic model to his collection as well. The Norwegian golfer has also been spotted in the 50th Anniversary Royal Oak watch in rose gold, another one of his favorites.

Brooks Koepka: Rolex Daytona “Panda”

After winning the PGA Championship in 2023, Brooks Koepka turned heads with his now-discontinued Rolex Daytona watch in the iconic “Panda” coloration. This black-and-white beauty is a staple of the horological world and has been noted as one of the most desirable Daytona models available on the secondary market today. Koepka isn’t the only one who loves it – the Rolex Daytona “Panda” has also been seen on the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Tom Holland.

Patrick Cantlay: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph

Currently ranked 15th on the PGA World Tour, Patrick Cantlay is an American professional golfer. He’s also a member of Audemars Piguet’s dream team of talented golfers who routinely show off these luxurious Swiss watches. Cantlay has gravitated toward the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph line and has been photographed on a number of occasions rocking the iconic stainless steel reference in that collection. This gorgeous timepiece shows off the classic octagonal Royal Oak bezel with exposed screws while elevating the look with three chronograph subdials on the watch’s face. The 41 mm face makes this a versatile timepiece, and the five-link integrated bracelet stands out as a testament to modern watch trends and innovations. This is certainly a watch fit for an athlete.
