In honor of National Golf Month and the upcoming PGA Championship, let’s take a look at some of our favorite watches that are perfect for heading out onto the course. While golfers are often bound by strict dress codes while on the course, they’ve turned to wristwear as a way to express themselves and show off their personal style. If you’re a fan of these Swiss luxury watches, you’re in good company. Rolex ambassadors in the world of golf include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, and Hideki Matsuyama. Rolex has also brought a variety of female golfers into the fold, including Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, and Anna Nordquist, as reported by Prestige magazine.

While Rolex certainly has an impressive list of ambassadors, they’re not the only upscale watch brand making their mark on the fairways. Audemars Piguet watches have also proven popular, and have been spotted on the wrists of big names like Viktor Hovland, Bud Cauley, Tyrell Hatton, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, and Vijay Singh.

Richard Mille has a particularly notable partnership with Bubba Watson, who even collaborated on designing a watch that is named for him. Famous golfer John Rahm was the first Spaniard to bring home the U.S. Open title in the sport, and has held the number one spot in the world golf rankings for record amounts of time. He is often spotted wearing upscale Rolex watches during his tournaments, but there are a few that have stood out from the rest. He has frequently been photographed wearing a Rolex Sky-Dweller with a deep blue dial – but he has commented that his favorite watch is an unusual Rolex GMT-Master II with an eye-catching meteorite dial.

Hailing from Northern Ireland, Rory McIlroy has had a long golf career full of countless accolades. The OMEGA Speedmaster 50th Anniversary Snoopy was the watch he opted for when he hoisted the trophy in his green Masters jacket at the 2025 tournament – and he has even created a special edition Speedmaster with the brand!

Golfing GOAT Tiger Woods is well-known for his love of the finer things in life. He has an incredible breadth of watches in his collection, but his favorite is known to be a Rolex Day-Date 40 exactly like the one pictured above: made from 18K rose gold and complete with an olive green dial. This upscale watch has become a particularly desirable model on the secondary market, due in part to Tiger Woods’ love for the watch but perhaps more notably due to its connection to many U.S. presidents.

When Viktor Hovland hoisted the FedEx Cup trophy in 2023, his win wasn’t the only thing worth celebrating. Koepka isn’t the only one who loves it – the Rolex Daytona “Panda” has also been seen on the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Tom Holland.

Currently ranked 15th on the PGA World Tour, Patrick Cantlay is an American professional golfer.
