One of our favorite watch releases of 2025 came at the Watches and Wonders show in Geneva, Switzerland. Exciting new developments in horology are almost a given at Watches and Wonders, and this year did not disappoint. In addition to launching their new Land-Dweller line, Rolex showed off some chic and timely dial colors for their stalwart Oyster Perpetual line. We love the Oyster Perpetual collection for its seemingly infinite opportunities for individuality and personality. You can choose from many different dial colors, sizes, and finishes, all at a relatively affordable price point that has made this an ideal entry-level watch for many aspiring collectors.

That said, you do not have to be a newbie to appreciate the graceful beauty of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual. These watches are classic for a reason, and the new colors speak to that tenfold. Rolex unveiled three creamy new hues at the Geneva show, and you can now get your hands on pistachio, lavender, or vanilla beige dials. Are you drooling yet? These gorgeous colors are timeless and carry a lasting elegance that is sure to become a staple of your wardrobe.

In the tail-end of 2024, Patek Philippe made history with its first new collection in decades. The hallowed Swiss watchmaker upended expectations with the release of the geometric, angular Cubitus collection. Initially, the company released the watch in three different variants: platinum, stainless steel, and a two-tone combination of stainless steel and 18K rose gold. Each of the initial variants had a substantial 45 mm case. While the Cubitus received a mixed reaction from critics, consumer enthusiasm told another story, as these historic timepieces quickly found buyers. However, one criticism remained common: The watches were, perhaps overly, large.

Responding to the needs of its loyal customers, Patek Philippe then released a 40 mm Cubitus in March of 2025. This slightly sized-down Cubitus perfectly reflects current horological trends, offering wearers a perfect piece for everyday style that does not overwhelm the wrist. As predicted, the 40 mm Cubitus made a big splash, and it can be tough to get your hands on one on the secondary market. However, these pieces are sure to become family heirlooms, as they signify a key chapter in the modern history of Patek Philippe.

Richard Mille has plenty of such limited runs under its belt, and the RM 011 watch (nicknamed the “Red Demon”) is a stellar example. This beautiful 18K rose gold watch features the brand’s iconic tonneau-shaped case and skeletonized dial, all in a larger-than-life format. The sizable 50 mm case stands out on the wrist, and Richard Mille’s futuristic and avant garde stylings are sure to draw the eye.

Limited to just 30 pieces made worldwide, the “Red Demon” is highly desirable on the secondary market.
